Bojana , Arefyeva , Panova , Ozaki , Kichenok , Kozlova in Tashkent Open Main Draw

September 8 : Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia , , Alexandra Panova of Russia , Japan’s Risa Ozaki along with three Ukrainians Tetyana Arefyeva , Kateryna Kozlova , and Lyudmyla Kichenok qualified for the main draw of the 15th edition of the Tashkent Open.

58th ranked Bojana Jovanovski shrugged off a lazy start to overcome Arina Rodionova 6-4, 6-4 to make it to the main draw where she leads the rankings . 249th ranked Ukrainian Tetyana Arefyeva kept her winning ways to score a 1-6,6-1,6-3 win over Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus to take a spot in the main draw.

Third seeded Alexandra Panova of Russia a quarterfinalist last year also made it to the main draw outhitting a young Belarusian Ilona Kremen 6-4, 6-4 , Ukrainian Lyudmyla Kichenok caused a mild flutter scoring a 6-1,7-5 win over fifth seeded Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, Sixth seeded Marta Sirotkina of Russia was shocked by another Ukrainian Kateryna Kozlova in the final round. Kozlova won 2-6,6-1,6-2 . Seventh seeded Japanese Risa Ozaki made the last spot registering a facile 6-1,7-5 win over Kyrgyz Ksenia Palkina.

I’m happy that I have been able to spend extra two day on the court and play some more matches , I have been injured for some time and have not been able to play matches , but getting here and playing the qualifiers will help me said Bojana after her match.
